Return Policy

We want to do everything we can to ensure the quality of the sake we sell, which includes proper storage of each bottle at the appropriate temperature and away from sunlight, and sampling what bottles we are able to. We discuss with our distributors and research on the Japanese websites of the sake producers to get the best information possible for storage and maintenance of the quality of each sake.

That being said, as a retail store we are nearly at the end of the supply chain, and cannot know everything about the transportation of the bottles before they reach us, not to mention that sake takes a few months of transportation just to arrive in the United States.

Sake is also an art form, and in many ways is alive! Depending on the brewery, some sake is a little different every year, sometimes intentionally and sometimes because of outside factors, such as climate. This is especially true of Namazake and seasonal productions.

If you have any questions at all about a particular bottle, such as production year, please call or email us to ask before placing an order.

We have no hesitations about answering any question you might have about the sake we sell, and will provide as much information as we have.

Unfortunately, once a bottle is sold and delivered to you as a customer, we cannot process a return of that bottle, we hope you understand our position.
