Collection: Honjozo 本醸造

Our collection of Honjozo sake.

Honjozo indicates that a small amount brewer's alcohol (no more than 10% of the total weight of the total rice used in production) has been added to the sake and the sake rice is milled to at least 70%. This is usually done to make cleaner, easier to drink sake, and is quite popular in Japan. This does not make Honjozo sake more alcoholic, generally the ABV is similar to Junmai sake.
