This whisky expands like a grainy balloon on the palate before deflating with a serious, though not overwhelming, bite. Cereal-like aftertaste with a phantom chewy aftertaste. 

The peat is consistently present, though without bowling over the drinker.

Bottled in 2021, during "BOSHU" season - "Sowing of the Grain," 9th season in the 24 "Sekki" - Japan's distinctive cycle of seasons.
